Heavy buzzing from DVD player

As the title suggests, everytime I put certain DVDs on there is a distinct buzzing, but only at the beginning during the ads. Once the film starts it goes. Some DVDs are louder than others. Can I do anything eliminate this?

BTW... I have Sony RDR-GXD500

Apart from stopping watching the ads? probably just the low quality of the sound recording on the trailers, probably tv quality stereo sound - and your amp is faithfully reproducing the sound. Could try changing your amp's surround setting during the trailers to see if it helps, or just use tv sound for the trailers and save the full surround sound spectacular for the main feature... Or just skip the trailers.

It's not coming from the speakers, hi-fi or TV. It seems to be an intrinsic buzz and a slight vibration from the DVD player only. This happened to my previous Sony DVD recorder before it turned its AV toes up.
