headphones or speakers

I spend most of my music listening time with a set of sennheisers on my head and not sat in front of my hifi.

So headphone amps, portable dacs and decent headphones are important to me.

I'm guessing that for most people here it would be the same, we all need to work and not everyone can work for a hifi magazine

I sense other headphone people on here, but hifi and av are the dominant discussions.

Is there enough interest for a headphone / headphone amp forum?

I know about headfi, but I'm enjoying the conversations here and value the opinions.

I would be quite happy, clearly, with a section on headphones and related products, but recognise that it does fit in nicely with the general hifi part of the forum. I have read headfi as part of research for products, but a lot of the posters are, forgive the pun, above my head. However, I suspect that since headphones tend to be an add on, or headphone based setups are not that common, specialist sites such as headfi and the Rock Grotto forum will be about it. Try this post in the general hifi section and see what interest it generates.

Now if you want a debate, headphones vs speakers which is better, well..............................!

I'm never sure if people use the site on a by the forum basis or use the active topics page.

I guess regulars use the active topics page and see oddities like this one.

Headphones were my first love and I`m always happy to talk about them. For me it`s an important part of my set up.
