Ok so my girlfriends dad is really into audio/visual and i'm getting a bit of the bug.
Saturday this week i reset and properly calibrated my Sony DAV-DZ230* using the microphone and it made a huge difference to how the audio was produced. Bass was less heavy and now subtle how it should be, and i can hear the dolby music go around the room as it should. After this I put on Transformers on my 40" Samsung LCD** and notice the picture seemed 'normal' like watching standard channels. I thought being an upscaling DVD player it would be much sharper, but reading a copy of WH magazine it says that the HDMI lead can help with this. The Lead i'm using at the moment is a simple lead from ASDA. Now I've found this*** on eBay and was wondering if it was any good it seems 10x better.
