Harman/Kardon blu ray player

Im asking this for my brother inlaw.Has anyone any experience of the bdp10 blu ray player?He has been offered one for a great price and would like to know how it performs.I informed him that Harman/Kardon seems not to popular in the uk so might not get much feed back.Why is Harman/Kardon not big in the uk?its everywhere here in Norway,never heard of it until i moved here.Thanks.

Harman Kardon certainly still sells its products in the UK, and even has its own dedicated stores in a few places. But they're not that keen on getting stuff reviewed here in our experience, which seems a shame.

Thats a shame Andy,the stuff is everywhere here,the hi end specialist sells it and the dixon type of shop also.Ive been told the insides are very good quality,its the plastic outside im not to keen on its not cheap either.

HK is as good as anything else that's praised on the UK market - if you get the chance to hear some of their stuff, go for it. I often recommend their HK990 amp and HD990 CDP. Both excellent and near faultless build (except for daft volume control functions...!).
