Sorry gel I'm at work and using my phone to write messages. Can't quite do links on it. There so many problems with hardware and firmware right now cause the little problems are not ironed out before new tech is rushed out again. All this just for them to supersede each other why we the customer suffers.

Sony has yet to implement HLG into the BBC iplayer now we have to deal with yet another withdrawal of Dolby Vision firmware update.
That's winter Olympics in 4k out of the question for me. Satalite disc not allowed in my building.

We currently spending money on tech which is useless at the moment.

There's a reason why even if I had plenty of money I still wouldn't be an early adopter of pretty much any new technology. You're all paying thousands to do the tech companies' beta testing for them.

If I was an Oppo dealer, and as a long term proponent and owner of Oppo products, I’d be on here (as the only regular Oppo dealer posting on this forum) reassuring their customers that Oppo are an excellent company who are better than the Japanese manufacturers with regards to sorting out any small problems that arise. I’d assure them that their money hasn’t been wasted, and that even if there were one or two small problems (mainly due to aspects beyond their control, ie, an ever changing format), they’re more likely to get them resolved than if they’d bought any other player. I’d have bought a new UHD player for myself by now, and be actively getting involved in these types of discussions with first hand experience and advice to help out their customers.

It’s a lot more than two small problems David, check out the Oppo thread there are hundreds of problems if not thousands!

Certainly not "hundreds of problems"! If you follow the thread, you'll notice that most of the issues were sorted by a simple firmware update.

You haven't answered my question: which firmware is your Oppo on currently? Also, have you even contacted Oppo regarding your problems? Your player is in warranty and Oppo's customer support is second to none.

I don’t even know how to describe my problems still, then I can contact Oppo. Basically on the Batman Trilogy 4k there is movement in the picture, and Wonder Woman and Kick-Ass.

Congratulations. You too have seen the (non Dolby Vision) light!
I don't think this the end of Dolby Vision, far from it. Even HDR has its own problems. Currently Sony are working on a fix on DV through hdmi and USB. It's just having to wait for so long.

Gel, only asking because it has not been mentioned, did you reset the Oppo back to factory default after each of the updates.

yes very important. Actually forgot to mention too.

...nor heard that I had to! Why would you need to please?
I actually spoke to Oppo customer service and was told to do a factor reset after every firmware update, and it resolved my problem.

To me, it sounds like gel's issues started after the firmware update. So worth resetting to factory default as mentioned.

Also, I really can't see the problem in the pictures. Can you take the pics of the same scenes with the Panasonic player so we can compare?
