Dear Alll

What is the actual frequency range in any movie (hd/thx) that the 1. Surround and 2. Rear surround speakers must handle?

Thanks

Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS-HD and Dolby-True will output the same frequency range through the rear channels as they do the front three (so 80hz upwards, assuming a typical cross-over level for yor sub), hence why its ideal to have the same driver units in all speakers (and as a minimum, make sure all are the same manufacturer) for consistency.

Look? You have several similar posts here. It may be useful to say what u have and what u are trying to achieve. IMO although there are ideal configurations due to room limitations the rears/sides are less important unless u have complete control of position. I'm not saying 'anything' will do but the choice for most of us is not that critical.
