I wonder how many of you will listen to the albums you cite now in 5 years time? I'm beginning to think only classical music, jazz and Latin American are the only stayers.

I recently had to choose what music to put on my ipodand take with me for an unlimited sojourn O/S and picked stuff similar to some of the records you mention. Already sick of most of it, and am bitterly regretting not having taken more classical. The first thing I'm going to delete when I'm back in hifiland will be Melua followed by a ritual burning of the CD..

used to go to a lot of live gigs when I was younger, most were jazz ....

hated most of the music, but went along with my mates, as my best mate's dad used to own the club, plenty women, and booze and food was free (was always skint, as was at university) ...

I could never understand what the 'big fuss' was about (was into rock and blues)

of late, I seem to enjoy jazz, and folk and have bought several cd's .... am also starting to enjoy classical ....

suppose, as you age, your music tastes change?

ps: I have several Katie Melua's cd's (really like her music but as with all music, you have to be in the mood for that sort of music) ... so don't trash it!
