Awesome! Then im gonna check your site. So i it´s true - the competition is harder in UK. Do you ship to sweden?David@FrankHarvey said:Just checked three of the packages, and we are cheaper![]()
There will be certain brands we won't be able to ship overseas. I generally don't get involved in mail order, so you'd need to call the guys in the office to check whether we can or can't ship to you. My guess, for both brands, is that we can't.lennyjj said:Awesome! Then im gonna check your site. So i it´s true - the competition is harder in UK. Do you ship to sweden? Do you think Marantz PM6005/6006 and Zensor 5 is a good pairing?
Are you just tormenting him like at the end of Bullseye "let's take a look at what you could have won"? Why don't you finish the job by telling him what sort of staff discount you get? *biggrin*David@FrankHarvey said:My guess, for both brands, is that we can't.
Cheaper but can't deliver!David@FrankHarvey said:Just checked three of the packages, and we are cheaper![]()

If we can't deliver to your region, then no else from the UK can either. Some manufacturers make exceptions if they have no representation in a specific area, but when there are local retailers and distributors, things are restricted.BigH said:Cheaper but can't deliver!David@FrankHarvey said:Just checked three of the packages, and we are cheaper![]()
Is that legal, from a freedom of trade point of view in the EU?David@FrankHarvey said:If we can't deliver to your region, then no else from the UK can either. Sounds like price fixing to me, which is surely anti-competitive behaviour under the Competition Act?lindsayt said:Is that legal, from a freedom of trade point of view in the EU?
I thought that anyone was allowed to buy anything from anywhere in the EU?
I read on Swedish forums that there where some German hi-fi stores who for a while refused to deliver Canton speakers to private persons in Sweden, and that where orders from Canton.TomSawyer said:Sounds like price fixing to me, which is surely anti-competitive behaviour under the Competition Act?lindsayt said:Is that legal, from a freedom of trade point of view in the EU?

My understanding is that the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK are an EU Directive (2011/83/EU) and that they apply to all distance sales from the UK to all other EU countries.David@FrankHarvey said:I'm sure any other Swedish forum members would love to hear where they can buy their hi-fi cheaper than their local dealers - if it was Gel he'd be sharing the news with everybody!
The only point I would like to make is that if you have a warranty, the 'distance selling regulations' here don't apply outside of the UK, so if you have any issues, you'll more than likely need to send the faulty item back to the UK at your own expense...
