Had 3 emails last week claiming i had won, also Japanese and Nigerian buisnesses wanting to find partners to transfer funds from their countries into your bank accounts. This seems to be increasing along with hoax microsoft callers claming your pc has multiple problems and running slow. The worrying thing is people still fall for it, my friend open up his pc to one caller and was asked for his email, bank details so they could fix his pc which was working fine.Afterwards when he wouldn't pay and put the phone down they rang him about 6 times that week.Anyone with pc problems be aware microsoft do not ring you.Another scam which circulates is a bt scam claiming you need to update some records your pc has put viruses on their system, don't do it report it to bt.

I had a phone call last week from someone wishing to remain anonymous, claiming my speakers were producing horrendous distortion. I was asked for my card details and address to rectify the problem. And this was in the UK! There's no escaping them nowadays is there?

My partners fathers hotmail was hacked recently, since then my buisness email adress has been getting about five a day. They are mostly quite funny, but one of them was really dark (something about holocaust money, didn't read too far in to it). I get emails from Barclays, HSBC, virgin money and my 'accountant' all asking for my credit card details. I don't bank with any of these people...

Can we continue with pasting others of these emails? For those who are aware of their purpose - they are quite funny. For those scammed it is ofcourse very unfortunate.

Gosh, how exciting.

I only get 'offered' Oxbridge PhDs costing £150, pecker-enlargement products and "investement opportunities".

The scammers' 'research' must've determined I'm a) stupid, b) don't fill my Calvins, and c) broke - that's two out of three, good guess.

From: Miss Aresha Yaya

Hello.
It's my pleasure to contact you for a business venture; there is this huge amount of money Two million five hundred thousand U.S dollars ($2,500,000.00) which my late Father Mr. Yaya Edwin Egoe, kept for me in a security storage house here in Abidjan before he was assassinated by unknown persons.

Now I decided to invest this money in your country or anywhere safe enough outside this country for security purposes. I want you to help me to transfer this fund to your country for investment purposes on the followings below, because the people that killed my father are hunting to kill me and inherit all that belongs to my late father.
