Why not. No cost other than buying the vibrapods originally a couple of years ago.

Can’t really do enough isolation for a TT.

Does it work? No idea. It’s not so much about footfall or acoustic feedback (I just don't listen loud enough) … perhaps more to reduce any vibrations generated by the deck itself feeding back into the platter/cartridge. By the time I do an A/B test a few minutes would have passed and it would be impossible to discern the difference which is likely minute. I do not have an accelerometer to measure either.

The more upper range ‘new’ Technics decks have further isolation in their plinths and in case of the top 1200G, a heavy full metal plinth I believe, though I may be wrong. The 100 and 1500 GR models have fibre mixed plastic bases and solid metal top plates. Mine is a basic 100C. Next thing will be to dampen and increase weight of the plinth. Anyway, I am just playing around a little, there are no real issues and it’s all easily reversible when time to move on comes.

Fantastic sound for such little money.

Am I going to hear improved dynamics, imaging and soundstaging, if I stand my headamp on a set? Highly unlikely methinks.

Generally, solid-state electronics aren’t microphonic, so unlikely to make much difference. Unlikely, as you say.

But the expectation is huge, and I recall countless ‘experiments’ I tried in decades past where I always thought something had changed. Of course, whether it had, or whether it was an improvement at all, is the $64,000 question!

And contrary to my first sentence, way back, when the NAD3020 was the best selling amplifier by miles, there was an improvement to be had, repeatedly and emphatically. The original Mission Isoplat, a simple board with four hemispheres of Sorbothane, popped under the NAD made a worthwhile improvement. Further experimentation showed the transformer was pretty crude and with only 20wpc was often close to flat out much of the time. It buzzed in time with the beat, and ‘grounding’ that vibration thanks to the Isoplat, made the difference.
