dual belt

Hope this isnt a daft question..

My old Dual tt 505-2 refuses to spin. As I am not technically minded the only thing I can do is replace the belt. If this doesnt work then it will probably be binned as I dont think there is a repairer in this area, (Swindon).

Anyway, how easy/ difficult is it to replace.? I can get the platter off ok.

You can see the belt when you take the platter off so it shouldn't be too difficult.

I have just fitted a new belt to my Dual 505-2 and all is fine.

Am I right in saying that the shiny side of the belt should face inwards?

Didn't think that there was a shiny side but if there is then I would say outwards.
