If a 4K OLED was released later in the year would you consider one gel or is it out of your price range.

£3000 would be my absolute max, and that could be possible with LG.

They seem to be released later in the year, so i pressume it would be the beginning of summer by the time you could afford one.

Can you wait a whole year.

That's the point where I get interested gel. 4K OLED at 55 inches minimum in 2 years time is what I'm aiming for and just hope that the blue issue has been resolved by Samsung at that point as I don't really want to buy an LG TV of any sort as everyone I know with an LG TV has had problems.

With OLED being in it's infancy and potentially spending £3500 maximum for me I would much rather buy a Samsung, but that's just me.

Really? That's news to me...where did you get that from? I thought it was just Sony that were potentially cutting OLED production despite that announcement the other day :?

Are there any reviews of calibrated LG OLED? Would be interesting to see if there were any significant improvements from out of the box...

Yep here:

http://www.avforums.com/review/lg-ea980-55ea980-curved-1080p-oled-tv-review.9969

Black levels, contrast and dynamic range 10 out of 10, 4K TVs only get 8 out of 10.

No they haven't. They're not releasing any models this year, but are spending more than anyone else in OLED R&D.

That's the one, it just means that there will only be an LG one then (or two)?

It's the same Gallery TV that you have linked. Only 1080p and very expensive.
