Do companys like QED, Chord company....

change their componants or materials in the say a cable that has been going on for years?

Say like if i had Chord Company Chameleon interconnects that are 3 years would they be worst than if i went and got a brand new Chameleon lead tomorrow?

my thinking is that these companys do change their cables to make them better??

I'm pretty sure they change nothing without a model name change. For instance the Chameleon is now the Chameleon Plus and the Crimson is now the Crimson Plus. They change the product when they change the name. Otherwise, they remain unchanged. At least that's what I believe is typical.
