Our friends at Musicraft and Frank Harvey (David) have always recommended Yamaha as a great match for your speakers. Unfortunately, I think you're still going to need to spend serious money in order to achieve the improvement you crave! There's a factory refurbed RX-V3900 with 2 years warranty at Exceptional-AV, which would do the job nicely! Unfortunately it's about £850 :-(

I think if it is the edgy sound of the Pioneer that is troubling you , you should get a onkyo.heard the 508 and it sounded so good.the 608 must be even better.

Yes but will it give me night and day difference over my VSX-819

What I want is true home cinema sound, very detailed, and I want to hear a pin drop at the back of the room while someone is talking in the movie. ect...

Lets say I tell the missus.. lol ... I won it on ebay for cheap, as she would wig out if I spent 899.00 on the LX-72.

What difference would I see over the VSX-819, remember this amp used to cost almost 1700.00, am I going to see 1700.00 difference in sound?

Thanks
