Also from Misc:

In 2023, South Korea abandoned its traditional way of calculating someone's age. Basically, a child was born and deemed to be aged 1 year old, and when the next Jan 1st came around would add another year - so a child born on Dec 31st would be two the next day.

Bizarre.
There was a piece about this at the time, on the BBC News website. Did seem like a very odd way of doing things.

Water in the solar system - we haven't got that much, it seems. Measured in zettalitres (1,000BnBn litres), and obviously allowing for significant degrees of estimation:

Earth 1.3zl.
Pluto 1zl.
Europa 2.6zl.
Callisto 5.3zl.
Titan 18.6zl.
Ganymede 35.4zl

So we've only got about 2%...

Methinks 1.3 exatonnes of water, is still quite a lot and, I don’t think the residents of The Maldives want any more…

Kenneth, I feel that statistics might be against you. The UK does not have a history of using them & I'm pretty sure we don't have a crisis of infections from poor hygiene, nor have done in the past.
In the UK, people have become accustomed to using dry wipes, hence the statistics wouldn't show. However, using water spray over wet wipes provides a greater hygienic and complete wash.

As you've raised this subject elsewhere, can you leave it out of this thread please.

Further posts about toilets will be removed - as I say, there is a thread elsewhere and this is supposed to be about things people might not know.
