I have just purchased and painstakingly(3&1/2hrs) done the upgrade to my Denon AVR3808 to give it extra Audyssey Dynamic EQ & Dynamic Volume.
I don't know if I have done anything wrong but I cannot access the extra Audyssey stuff and because of that, can't access the two new Dynamic things to use them.

Anybody else out there done this?

Had any problems?

Found a fix?

The destructions supplied don't identify any remedials that I can see.

WHFS&V - any ideas?

Hi GC69 - I'm looking at the upgrade at some stage too wo sould like to hear if you get this working and any real benefits you might hear! It's annoying that Denon see fit to charge customers for extra features that they would have obtained had they waited 6 months or so for the upgraded 3808 to come out at pretty much the same price. So much for 'early adoption'!

Although I'm not in the exact same boat as you, I have noticed that since upgrading the firmware of the reciever, my previous Audyssey settings are nowhere to be seen so am planning on running the auto-setup again when I have a spare couple of hours, hopefully this will bring them back.

ÿHave you tried running the auto setup again?ÿPerhaps the upgrade has deleted your previous settings and requires re-meausiring the room.....

Thanks for the pointer. Ran through the auto setup on Saturday (1 hour or so)and this has now enabled me to access the upgrade items.
Can I tell the difference? A bit - it sounds a bit crisper and the variance between channels and adverts has nicely gone.

I got mine for £60 - is is worth it? If you have the cash spare - why not.

Good luck with it either way.

Now to get a 2500 blu ray before the prices go up...............

Glad it worked!! How did you get the upgrade for £60? The last time I checked it was £75...

ÿGoing to wait and see if they come back with anythng useful on my DVD player before splashing out, seems to have a 'play a disc once and then never again' setting that I can't turn off!!!ÿ

I went in and give it the old "credit crunch for all of us" and it is January so it should be in the January sales etc and they reluctantly done it - fair play to 'em.
