denon piccolo n5 or n8 amps and floorstander speakers

hello all

i am going to buy one of the systems above but really want a decent floorstanding speaker that will not be underpowered by this small but capable system ,i notice from packages being offered on respected dealers websites that floorstanders like the BX5 and DCT6 and tannoy v4 are being offered and i have to admit i was blown away by a monitor BX2 demo recently.

can i ask what i should be looking for as i do listen to "lively" music with a lot of bass ?...regards...from epsom..

That's the one for you then, surely? (Does it really matter if it's not a floorstander?)

Getting 'blown away' at a demo is pretty rare. Why spoil it? Buy them and don't go back to any hi-fi shops. (Therein lies doubt and therefore unhappiness.)

I've read of plenty of folk who prefer the BX2 to the BX5s. (Especially with the Marantz M-CR603 which isn't a million miles removed from the Denons you are considering.)
