Denon AVR-2309, subwoofer feadback?

Has anyone suffered problems when connecting thier sub to the Denon 2309? I setup my brand new avr2309 today connecting all the speaker cables to the correct posts and my Mission sub to the sw preout The result was a continuous droning noise from the sub which was best described as some kind of feedback.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, if anything, or how to resolve the problem. Admittedly the cable from the sub to the Denon is a cheap one so I'm going to invest in a better one with more shielding, any suggestions?

I haven't had any problems with the sub connected to mine. I'm using a Chord Crimson sub cable.

Get a decent cable (I use a QED sub interconnect) and make sure it is plugged in the right way as many of them are directional. Also, I had a similar problem a few months back and it turned out it was caused by the HDMI cable in my PS3 not being plugged in tightly. Anything that is connected to your receiver can cause this kind of interference so, if you haven't done this already, it's probably best to unplug everything except the subwoofer and, if the noise then disappears, plug everything back in one at a time until it returns.
