Hi all!
I've just found a single dead pixel on my 10 day old panasonic lcd which I bought from comet for £640 (an absolute bargain). I only noticed it when I was close up. It is purplish on the R hand side low down and I definately wouldnt have spotted it if I hadn't been close up changing the disk in my xbox360. I can't see it at normal viewing distances and to be honest I have to hunt for it even when close up. So my question is: should you expect a dead pixel? Should I exchange the TV or just live with it?
Cheers,
Matt

Don't think you will get much joy on an exchange with one dead pixel. All the major manufacturers will say a certain % of dead pixels is acceptable.(to them anyway).

This may vary with different manufacturers but I reckon they will all be above one pixel.

Edit According to the manual for my Sony they say 99.99% of pixels should be effective which means on a full HD set you could have 207.4 dead pixels and the screen would be deemed to be OK.
