Dali Ikon 6 vs Tannoy Revolution Signature

My brother is looking out for a new surround sound speaker set in the 2.000£ range.

We have read the excellent review of Dali Ikon 6, which seems like wonderful speakers, but apparantly Tannoy has kicked them of the throne. At least they are now the recommended speakers at this price point.

The Tannoy's are really hard to get your hands on here in Denmark, and it will not be easy to find a place to go for an audition. Can anyone enlighten us about in which ways the Tannoy's are superior?

Speaker choice is very subjective. A lot of people praise the Tannoys but I hated them. I tried them and sent them back. That's not to say they're not for you, just not for me. To this end, I would try and demo both and preferably with your amp so you can pick the one that sounds right for your room and your ears.

You are absolutely right, Demo is key! I just fear it will not be possible to find a physical store nearby to do that for the Tannoy's. That is why I am seeking imput here.
