Dear all

I am still seeking the definitive answer to this question.

I have a pioneer VSXAX10ai with a phono stage earthed input to which I want to connect a moving coil cartridge turntable (Project 2 X perience ). Can some one tell me is it just a connection with the phono leads and earth cable or will I need to connect to another phono input with a separate phono stage because of the low voltage? I ask this as I was told different things by Pioneer & Project technical support.

Regards

Saab

Hi Saab,

In the instruction manual for the Pioneer it does actually say MM for the phono input in the specifications.

Audio Section

Input (Sensitivity/Impedance)

PHONO MM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4.7 mV/47 k

4.7mv/47k is more an MM spec than MC as well

Kind Regards

Steve
