I did hear a demo. The bass, mids and trebles were clearly separated. A TAD too much, IMHO, where it almost sounded like coming from 3 different speakers. I could almost visualize it coming from the bottom, middle and top.
Happy to lend you mine for a day - will even bring them to your offices. Do they have to be supplied by the manufacturer ? (Wouldn't they send you their "bestest" examples?)

I had the 7's and had to use the bungs to improve the mid range. The stereo soundstage on the 8's is way better too and much better detail. At last B&W have produced a decent small footprint floorstander for your average UK sized house, as we don't all live in the USA.
I like them, which is just as well as I didn't even listen to them pre purchase lol. They look really good on their plinths which have an inverted pyramid type mount which makes them look as though they are floating just above the plinth. Classy in gloss black.

Bring 'em round mine instead Dandy.
Would have to bring the guitars too then Big Chris 🙂
Big picture of CM8s on front cover of a rival mag this month - same rosenut finish as mine. Apparently they had the "exclusive" from B&W. Does B&W only have one pair for the press to try out, and how can a mag have an "exclusive" on a product that's been available to Joe Public for months? Hope the lack of exclusive won't influence the WHFSV opinion....if we get one?
Whether we get a product first, last or not at all - ie we have to borrow/buy it - I can assure you that it does not affect our opinion of the kit in question one little bit.

Thanks Clare - no worries there. Happy to borrow you mine if you like. Big Chris has already been after them too - at least he knows the way to your lair now.
