Clarification On A Review Please...

In the latest mag you have reviewed the Onkyo ND-S1 and state:

"Even a budget disc-spinner of decent quality can beat this for overall musicality"

Would this not depend upon the DAC it was connected too??

The dock is effectively the equivalent of a CD transport is it not??

Yes, but I assume the review meant in the context of a CD source used into the same hypothetical DAC.
