So my Chord Mojo battery died after 18 months. No surprise from what I have read. I have, however, put together an inexpensive fix and improved the battery capacity. On Amazon, I ordered an EBL 7.4 V, 2200mA, 16.3 Wh battery for $16.49. I opened the Mojo by removing the 8 Torx screws (T-6) and removed the battery. There is a perfectly sized space just above the Tos-link connector to feed thin wires through. I snipped off the full length connector from the old battery and soldered it on to the new battery. I used a piece of electric tape to place the wires over the top of the Tos-link connector and put it all back together with the battery on top, away from the electrical components. What a poor design to lock in so much heat inside the device. Voila! After charging overnight it works like a charm. Enjoy my friends!
