Hi,

I'm looking for any suggestions for a secondhand integrated amplifier for under £100, any ideas?

Cheers,

Chris

Not sure ifi I am able to advertise stuff here, but I am selling an awesome Nad 302 amp at the moment on a well know auction site. Highly recommended!

sounds interesting, I'll have a look! what are the specs of it?

Well, the specs don't really do it justice as it claims only 25w per channel but believe me, it goes loud and in a large room!

5 line inputs including a decent phono stage for a turntable.

I used to run some Mission 772 and I have seen them and the smaller standmount 771 go for peanuts. Richer Sounds would also be worth a look for cheap speakers. They often have deals on older Tannoy standmounts.

it's quite a small room i'll be using it in with a Project Debut 2 turntable, so how much are you looking for?

Dont overlook AV receivers. Pound for pound they can be excellent value. Regular replacements mean there are a lot of very good ones around.

regards

This is probably a bit above your budget but the harman kardon HK980 is about £270 new, maybe worth checking on ebay for some, there is one for £90 at the moment but that is only 7 months old, maybe some older ones are not much over £100?

I second this after just parting with my lovely Nad 302, it may only be rated at 25wpc but that is massivly modest 😛

Easy, Cambridge Audio Azur 350A. Much better than the nad for the money.

Not second hand but NEW 99.95 on clearance at richer sounds if you live in Birmingham, Romford or Watford.

Dont think about av gear if you desire hifi, even arcam/expensive cambridge amps are a compromise although they do pop up on ebay really cheap.

Now I think about it, it's such a good amp I should flog my denon and get one for the spare room.

HK 6550 or a Sony ES amp... Some Marantz are nice too but most of these older amps will need servicing for best results.

If you can get one of those Cambridge for £99 it would be great.

Also look for those small chinese class-D or T-amps, some of them are very good.
