Cheap projectors v flagship samsung panasonic and Sony plasma and led's

I have recently purchased the panasonic zt60 and it is quite simply stunning to look at ,I'm still in the break in period one of the calibrators a at the value electronics show in Las Vegas recommended 300 hours before Calibration so that's what I'm going to do.so I can only asume that the picture will look even better .i am also using the oppo 103 .but my question is this .i don't know that much about projectors and they go from about £400 to £30000 etc apart from the obvious jump in picture size would kind of money would I have to spend to get better picture quality than I already have with zt60. I'm 10ft away from 60inches in a pitch black room ,are the low end projectors say between 400 -£1000 worth it and what a does £5000 projector give you for your money over say £1000.
