cant decide - pl help

hi all,

I cant decide which to go for first - roksan k2+685+asw610 or marantz7002+tannoy arenas. I understand one is out and out hifi system and other a home cinema option. For want of budget, i want to take one option to serve me both for the time being.

if i choose hifi option would i be able to run both my cd-player and bluray player through that ?

if i choose home cinema I would need to forgo purchasing a good subwoofer in future as i dont want another subwoofer to crowd my living room. music is a priority to me though so dont want to choose an option that forbids my choice of subwoofer later.

which option would you go for first ? also i would be buying home cinema option blind via internet but plan to listen before picking up the hifi option.

It sounds like you've probably answered your own question. If music is your priority, go with a hi-fi set up. Yes, you'll be able to run your bluray player through it assuming it has phono outs. Obviously you won't be able benefit from the higher quality audio options on the discs, but then you won't have a 5.1 speaker system anyway... and films can be very enjoyable through a decent stereo system.

You'll also be able to demo the hi-fi set up, so you'll be able to make an informed choice as regards the components.
