can anyone help me connect my v+box to dvd recorder

i have a lg lh5000 tv thats got 4 hdmi sockets the video recorder is a toshiba (rdxv59dtkb) i want to connect these to a v+box so i can record from the v+box on to dvd i can only get each product to work when they are in the 1st hdmi socket ive tried scarts but still no joy if anyone knows how i sort this please let me know

Although I dont have the exact same set up as you, this is how I do it.

V+ to TV via HDMI

DVD/VCR to TV via HDMI

My TV selects the HDMI input aotomatically although you can overide it manually using the 'AV input' button on the remote if needed.

To record V+ to DVD/VCR machine, run a scart from the 'VCR' socket on the V+ to the scart socket on the DVD/VCR recorder, you will have to see which scart socket on the DVD/VCR is labelled for input, it might say 'decoder' or 'sat'.

To record the V+ box, you have to select the correct AV input on the DVD/VCR machine. On mine, if I run thru the channels backwards it changes to the AV inputs. For example...channel 2 - BB2; channel 1 - BBC1, AV2 - item tonnected to scart 2; AV1 - item connected to scart 1 etc.

You have to remember to leave the V+ box on the channel you wish to record.
