Hi all
Do you think this pairing would work well together?
I currently have Cambridge CXA80 & Source CXN with tidal.
I'm currently compiling a list to hopefully demo next month. I'm wondering if

JBL 4309 Black Bookshelf Speakers are worth adding to my list.

Room size is 7m x 5m

Speakers in photo not ideally positioned so anything you are likely to replace them with will be likewise.

As in to close to the side walls?
Yes, in my opinion. Having placed everything symmetrically around where you have sited the TV has somewhat scuppered good speaker positioning. Whi to mea means spending out on expensive speakers is pointless.
however, if it's good enough for you......
my TV isn't ideally placed in reference to anything hifi which is why I keep hifi and home theatre items completely separate.

Can't really do anything about moving hifi away from the TV, as have dinning room to the right and bay window to the left.😞
So upgrading speakers at this point won't make much difference to what I have now Kef q350?

Debatable. You'll have to home audition them to see if they are better suited to the only positioning you can offer.
They will certainly give you a different sound but will it be better than you currently have only you can say.
If you cannot get a dealer to loan you a pair to home audition I would save your money.

Hi,

I agree with other forum members that your position of speakers in the room is not optimal. And 5x7m is a large room like mine. I use in such space large floorstanders and 2 subwoofers to energize the room. Pls. think about this to the future.
We have also dining table for 6 and TV in the room. One side of 5m long wall is after long discussions with my wife (not easy...) reserved for "my hifi". But I had to rework complete living room. New electricity lines, roof, walls, TV on different wall etc. And I cancelled my Home Cinema, this was the price.
Your combination of Kef Q350 with CA 80 amp and CA streamer is very good and balanced. Just optimum for such system is some room with 16-20 m².
Changing speakers to JBL 4309 you will get more punch in sound but low bass will still be missing. And speakers like JBL has their own character, I think more than KEF. KEF is more neutral sounding. I have used some 25 years ago JBL 1000Ti bookshelfs, which were on paper very good. In praxis is was horrible to get realy good sound from them. They required extereme power of amp. So I changed speakers to more sensitive floorstanders.
Best regards.
