cable wiring help please

Hi All , Just joined this forum , as I need a liittle help. I have ordered a oyaide c-079 iec plug , and want to cable it with belden 83803 , with a silver plated mk tough plug for the mains.

My question concerns the drain wire , does this go to the earth pin in the MK so its grounded.I think the iec end is just the three wires earth /live neutral.

I can wire it no problem I 'm just a liitle unsure with the drain wire .

I don't think you should starting blaming the forum just because you don't get an answer straight away! 🙂

yes, the drain wire is wired at the mk end along with the earth wire at the earth pin

MK Tough plugs need silver plating as much as a fish needs needs a bicycle.

MK Safety Plugs have far better connectors inside that clamp down on the whole length of the exposed copper (rather than just pinching a little bit of it). And the urea formaldehyde cover also kills bacteria 🙂
