Hello Mick,Hello BiggaJ, nice to hear from you again. After having the LG C5, LG US70TR soundbar and Panasonic DPUB450 DVD player for a few months now thought I would share my experience of them. The DVD player performs great, after a lot of help from "Shrek" the soundbar has an acceptable level of bass, speech etc. The TV has fantastic picture quality, but I do find it does not handle all quick movement on the screen well, and often the sound is out of sync with the picture. Also with my old Samsung 2k TV (without a soundbar) once you set the volume to an acceptable level it was the same, mostly, for any channel I switched to, with this new set up the volume varies greatly between channels from blasting to whispering. Even within the same channel it varies, while watching a programme on channel 4 last night, I set the volume for the show and the adverts were at a much lower volume, okay who cares about the adverts, but it does make me wonder if this is how it is with soundbars, or do I have a "duff" one. This is my first LG tv, first OLED tv and soundbar so have no experience to fall back on, it could even be something to do with my Manhattan freeview box I suppose, though it worked okay before. If I remember rightly you aren't a fan of soundbars , perhaps this is why 😊
Best wishes,
Mick.
Good to hear you are enjoying the TV ... I am aware that on fast moving programs the LG has been known to be a little slow. Some on here and other forums have mentioned it while others claim not to have an issue with it, is this something that can be adjusted in the settings perhaps? Re the delay/lag in speech between screen and soundbar, I'm afraid I cannot help, I dont like separate speakers dotted about the place as I much prefer the clean look which is why I went the Sony route as the built in speakers are so much better than most other brands.
I'm sure Shrek would be better advising on the soundbar issue. Good luck.
