cable wiring help please

Hi All , Just joined this forum , as I need a liittle help. I have ordered a oyaide c-079 iec plug , and want to cable it with belden 83803 , with a silver plated mk tough plug for the mains.

My question concerns the drain wire , does this go to the earth pin in the MK so its grounded.I think the iec end is just the three wires earth /live neutral.

I can wire it no problem I 'm just a liitle unsure with the drain wire .

I don't think you should starting blaming the forum just because you don't get an answer straight away!

yes, the drain wire is wired at the mk end along with the earth wire at the earth pin

MK Tough plugs need silver plating as much as a fish needs needs a bicycle.

MK Safety Plugs have far better connectors inside that clamp down on the whole length of the exposed copper (rather than just pinching a little bit of it). And the urea formaldehyde cover also kills bacteria
