on the weekend I plan to head out and visit SevenOaks/Richer sounds...maybe even Hughes.

CA 604A /605A- RA-04 - NAD C326
Ill be looking at listening to/buying one of the above. To save time and efford I was wondering if anyone had an opinion regarding these amps to help my day along ? 🙂

Oh, the speakers Ill be used are 685s.

I take it you mean 640/650?

Well CA and NAD gear sound very different - a much warmer sound from NAD, so it depends on personal tastes.

Never heard the Rotel, but it's certainly an old WHF favourite. Doesn't have a remote control though iirc.

I originally had the CA 640A and although it was a good amp I personally found the Rotel RA04 to be much better in terms of detail and punch. I've not heard the new CA650 or the NAD so cannot comment on them.

Always thought the CA budget kit was exactly that and a bit bland. The other two can be matched with better speakers, though - what speakers do you have?
