i have the buget hd bush freesat box sorry model number slips my mind - its about £100 at argos

my problem is that altough i have 97% signal i cannot and never have got c4! does anyone have or have knowledge of this surfacing before? i can get c4 + 1 more 4 e4 i have tried retuning etc PLEASE HELP!!!!

I had a similer problem yesterday/today i re-tuned my tv & i couldn't get itv or channel 4, i have two aerials in my flat, one when the property was built & one which was installed ten months ago, i tried the newer aerial & i got the channels back.

so quite possibly it could be your roof aerial.

are you connecting your freesat box to a tv aerial instead of a sat dish?

Im no expert, if daveh75 comes along he will give a better answer.

OOPS sorry my mistake, i thought you said freeview.

i live in a block of flats. its conected to a communal dish. i get good quality pic on both hd and sd on every channel except channel 104 (c4) where i get no picture. every time i switch to 104 it just says new service please wait. im 100% its not a signal/aerial/dish problem. i think its a fault with the box

It certainly doesn't sound like a dish/lnb problem as you would expect it to effect a whole mux of channels, though it may be worth checking with neighbours to see if any of them are having issues with ch4 just to be sure.

It could be be that the box is faulty/tuner isn't very sensitive to weak signals, and channel 4 is one of the weakest signals.

There is also another possiblity and this may sound strange, but do you have a DECT cordless phone in close proximity of the bush STB as there is a known issue with DECT phones causing interference with satellite signals and particularly with C4 and on occasion E4, so if you do have one try unplugging the base unit and see if channel 4 comes back.

A long shot but try checking the post code you've entered.

Where I live Channel 4 is on 120, and S4C, a Welsh channel, is on 104, so that may possibly be your problem.
