Budget upscaling dvd player

Alrighty chaps, any suggestions? Samsung? Panasonic? Sony? Philips? Toshiba? My head's spinning. The dvd player is to accompany my new Panasonic TH37PX80 (had a last minute call towards LCD but plasma just won out in the end). Any help muchio appreciated

i guess £70 would be more than enough & would certainly prefer to pay a bit less. not after any excessive features i'd never use, any suggestions would be very welcome indeed

The Samsung DVD-HD870 is still a great buy - and you can bag this budget Award winner for under £50 these days.

May also be worth seeing if there's any Toshiba HD DVD players left floating around - you could bag yourself a great upscaling DVD player and snap up some second-hand HD DVD bargains.
