Hi everybody!

I have been enjoyoing the gorgeous Image X10 for couple of years, and finally encountered the problem with cable (obviously the weak point of klipsch earphones) - it's broken near the left bud and the headphone jack...

Just wondering if anybody has had the same problems and looking for any advices.

Is it possible to replace cable? (solder the buds and jack to new cable)

Does the klipsch actually provide the spare cable?

What would be adequate replacement cable as these are kind of hi-end earphones?

cheeerzz...

Have you tried contacting Klipsch? It does seem that this is a known issue with this model.

Has the sound become intermittent yet? If so, where does this happen? If it is just the plug, that should be an easy fix for someone competent with a soldering iron. If the problem is near the bud that's another issue and replacing the cable will most likely result in butchering the monitor in the process.

Thanks mate!

Have not contacted klipsch yet.

I've replaced the plug twice :) This time it's the left bud -it doesn't sound anymore. As it is impossible to dismantle the bud, there is no way the cable can be replaced...sad..

dunno if it's possible to sell them for spare parts..

It is a pity with these headphones as they are very good sonically. Mine also broke at the jack but I have managed a sophisticted repair using duct tape. They have been relegated to my gym buds while the tape holds!
