Hi,

I am in the market for a Blu Ray player.I will probable go for one of the SONY models for under £250 from Richer Sounds.

But first 2 questions please.

Which SONY machine would you buy and why

I have read that BR shows films at 24fps.I have read this can cause problems with the picture on TV's that dont support 24fprs

I have the PAN 26LXD70 LCD.

Thank you

We have Sony 350 player connected to a 36" CRT by component and there are no problems. There is the odd bit of jerkiness on horizontal pans but nothing worse than the odd region 1 dvd. The player can be set to output at various resolutions and you just choose the best for your tv. It does the converting for you. All players have to alter the image unless you are sending out a 1080 24fps image. Your tv might be able to receive this image and convert it itself.

Hi and thank you for the advice.

I have the PAN DMR-EZ27 which is connected via HDMI and is upscaling to 1080p,so far I can not see any video issues.

So could I assume the Blu Ray would play without issues as well.

Also can all Blu Rayb switch off the 24fps like the projector?.

Cheers
