Bi-amping front pair and stereo direct mode

I've got an Arcam AVR250 and a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 8is. I've only got a 5.1 set up, so I want to reassing the Rear Surround outs to the front pair, so that I can Bi-amp them. All well and good. Thing is, will this work when I use the speakers in "Stereo Direct" mode, i.e. will the bi-amping still work, or does it only work when I'm in full DSP / Digital mode? I can't work it out from the manual and wondered if anyone knew.

It certainly should work...! My KEF floorstanders are bi-amped in stereo direct mode from my Sony receiver. In fact, I guess it wouldn't work at all if it didn't do that!

We had this question a couple of weeks ago. Given the amp would be useless (literally) if it didn't continue to bi-amp in stereo direct mode you can be certain it will work.
