Hello all...

I have the chance to pick up a 6 Power quite cheaply (£160), and I was wondering what everyone's opinions were if I was to use it for bi-amping alongside my existing 8vs?Is it worth it, or should I maybe look at getting a PSX-R or similar for improvements to sound quality? Can a Cyrus 6 be matched to an 8 in terms of output?

My CD player is a Cyrus CD8 but I'll be looking at upgrading to 8SE status this year...

Thanks!

Yes it'd work fine but IMO i'd be stumping the cash for a PXR and wait to get either an XPower or the 8Power amp

If the 6 power is well priced, why not pick it up anyway and give it a try? If it is a good deal, you should be able to sell it on if you want/need to without making a loss.

So long as they have the same gain then it should be fine - I'm sure that Cyrus techie customer service folk will confirm that for you, phone number is on their website.
