Hi all.

I'm in the process of putting together a second system for my spare room (4m by 4m) consisting of:

Marantz cd 5004

Topping TP20

I have a pair of mission m33i's which i've tried with this combo but although they are 8 ohms and 90db sensitivity they just sound aneamic especially with large scale orchestral or heavy rock.

So bearing in mind the t-amp outputs 7 watts into 8 ohm what sort of speakers am i to look at? I'm thinking high sensitivity bookshelf would be the best bet.

£300 is my budget.

Thanks all.

I'd hardly call that bookshelf - read the OP's thread again :)

To the OP. As you might have gathered high-efficiency bookshelf speakers are in short supply.

These however should suit your requirements should you have the space for them.

Yes i'm finding it hard to locate high efficiancy bookshelves at a reasonable price. Those klipsch are front ported so i might get away with those!

I'm presuming small speakers are hard to make with high sensitivity.

I'm loath to go down the AB amp route now, my t-amp sounds so detailed and with a wide soundstage i've fallen in love with the little thing!

Thanks chebby.

Those RB-61's look ideal, guess i'll have to stretch the budget a bit. Now how do i justify that to the other half! :?
