MS speakers are described as bright so tend to be paired better with warmer sounding recievers, such as Denon or Yamaha, but to be on the safe side you should demo the receiver with your choosen speakers before buying.
Its amazing the difference in sound you will pick up, just make sure the receivers are set up to the same surround and music mode. Certain sneaky salesman might try to push towards a receiver with greater overhead (Onkyo) but dont be tricked
Its also worth considering what you are planning to use the receiver for, the Yamaha's supposedly handle music in stereo better than the Denon's, so make sure you demo with a movie and a choosen track of favourite cd.
