I am considering a new Bluray player, specifically a device that offers the best quality DVD playback.
I am aware that Bluray playback is largely the same for every player regardless of cost. However, the more expensive players do not introduce picture noise which the cheaper player electronics seem to add to the visual experience.
My shortlist includes
- Oppo 103D (2 year warranty from Oppo, then bin if it goes wrong)
- Pioneer LX58 .(5 year warranty from Richer sounds possible for a small outlay)
- Cambridge CXU.(5 year warranty from Richer sounds possible for a small outlay)
Please note I willl be judging the players on DVD playback.
I am confused by some reviews which claim the picture on the Cambrudge CXU is clearer/sharper than the Oppo103/105D which use the same video processing engine (i.e Darbee). I would have assumed they should be present identifical visuals.
Thanks.
