ive got my 5090 kuro in the bedroom now next to pc, until now its purely being used for bluerays. because ive got no aerial connection in the bedroom im thinking about using the pc to get online services like bbci and 4od to my tv.

im thinking of using a dvi-hdmi adaptor but ive googled it and looks like the tv has to recognise the format of signal sent or picture wont be as good as it could be, this is the bit thats confusing me, the way i was thinking of wiring it would be....

pc > dvi-hdmi adaptor > hdmi lead > pioneer vsx-lx920 > connected to tv

That should work fine, you'll have to change the resolution on the PC to match the 5090s native resolution that's all.

Although of course, using a DVI output you won't actually get any sound, as DVI is video only.
