Just a quick question about running Audyssey on my Marantz SR7009 - should I set the speakers to 'small' before running Audyssey (if i don't Audyssey sets my fronts to 'large') or after running it?

I did it after running Audyssey. I set the speakers "small" and set the crossover to 80Hz.

I set mine to small first and let Audyssey set the crossovers. I have a mixture of speakers so the crossover is set differently for each pair.

you should run audyssey and then make your changes,audyssey is not affected as long as you go higher with your crossover.

I ran Audyssey first and it set my front to large and I then manually changed to small. I left the crossovers as set by Audyssey and increased the volume of centre speaker because dialogue was a little on the quiet side for me. My reciever is a Denon x4100 but it think the setup is very simular if not the same as the Marantz
