audiolab m dac problem

hi can you help i bought a second hand audiolab m dac and have a problem when
playing my blu ray audio discs in hi res 24/192 the dac wont lock on to it, and keeps cutting in and out,, i also have a problem with a clicking sound
when streaming on optical from qubuz any ideas how to correct the problems welcome i use a mac for streaming and sony bluray
for digital out to dac.

Are you sure it can handle these resolutions? The current model might, but maybe it was beyond the earlier models?

how have you connected the device? The latest M-DAC cannot deal with that resolution through USB, it needs to use coaxial / optical.......not sure about previous revs of the M-DAC and whether they have that resolution at all?

Your M-dac should play 24bit files. If it's not, then it may be a problem with cable or the file it's self. Does it do it on all files?. Usb is restricted to 24/96KHz. Optical & coaxial 24bit/192. Check output settings from your sources. Also if the problem exist from all inputs to the dac, the dac may well have a fault.
