Are these connections right?

Hi

While waiting for my new screen to arrive, I've been getting things ready at home...

Thought I better check that my connectivity plans would work in case I need to make some changes. So, current plan is this:

• DVD player connected via HDMI to screen for video
• DVD player connected via phono leads to AUX on hifi amp to provide stereo sound from existing floorstanders

Will this set-up work - as in deliver just the video element from DVD to screen and sound via hifi?

The HDMI will also send audio to your TV, so just mute or turn the TV volume down to zero.

*You may find the DVD Menu will let you choose whether to send audio down the HDMI or not. If you can turn it off on the player, so much the better.
