Arcam Blu-Ray

OK - probably a daft question but any news on this?

My local dealer knows nothing or at least professes to know nothing but surely several years into the life of the format and with the (inevitable) format war finally having ended isn't about time they came up with the goods?

I heard rumours they were waiting for 3D Blu-ray but why bother?

I can get decent video output from a cheap player, but the audio quality still leaves much to be desired.

Arcam previewed their Blu Ray at CES and announced it would be the "FMJ BDP-100" at CEDIA 2009, "Early 2010" release date...

I couldn't wait and so bought a Sony BDP-S760, much as I am an Arcam lover... Though I am saving my pennies...

The Arcam Blu-ray player is not imminent, I know that. I spoke to John Dawson of Arcam recently, and he stressed the need for any BD player they release to be as future-proof as possible.

Arcam will be at the Bristol Sound and Vision show later this month; excellent chance to find out more about their plans directly!

I think a lesson was learnt with the Arcam AVR-600!
