Apple airport express better or worse DAC than ipod touch 5th gen?

Hi guys, im thinkin about buying the 2012 airport express but is its DAC actually any better than my ipod touch 5th gen? if not i probably dont see the point in buying it.

I think the AE is just a wireless device rather than a DAC isn't it? I may be wrong.

im not 100% on that but iv been told the aex unlocks the digital content of the music and thats y i assumed ti has a dac.

Yes, it includes a DAC, which is bypassed if you use an optical digital cable to connect to another DAC.

Yes you will use the AEX dac. Quality will also depend on the quality of your files. Not only can you stream from your touch but also from your PC as long as you have wifi. Rip cds as lossless and you have a better quality than if you have downsized your music to go onto your touch

right ok kl, im planning on streaming from my ipod touch and obtaining high quality files, i have seen u can convert to aac file format, is this a gd option?
