I was just wondering does anyone use one of these. I bought one this morning off Amazon for 20 pounds, so either way I don't thik I'll be disappointed as it works as a bluetooth receiver and I need one of them in my set up.

I read that it acts as a DNLA hub after a recent firmware update, but also read you need a pure connect app, but possibly that was before the update. Anyway, just seeing is there anyone with first hand experience, thanks

Yes I have one. Once set up they work brilliantly, but they are a nightmare to connect to the wi-fi. The instructions are not great either. Bluetooth is far easier, but streaming needs the wi-fi. It has a digital output, so you can connect a higher quality DAC or maybe your amp has one built in. They are a bargain for £20, as long as you can connect them. Customer reviews tend to be 5 stars or 1 star, based on this.

Thanks.

Just one question

Once set up, are they DNLA complient or do you need to use the pure connect app all the time?

You need the app to set it up in the first place. That smartphone, tablet, laptop etc then connects to the Pure Jongo A2 wireless connection.

If only it was that easy!

Thanks.

I have it setup, I think. It will play files similar to BubbleUPnp off the jongo app. Windows media player sees it as a cast to device from my laptop (without jongo app), unfortunetely Musicbee does not and thats the one I was hoping would work.

Any tips on how to work spotify through this little gizmo please?

I can bluetooth connect alright, and I think I could send that music that the jongo picks up over the wifi to a second jongo if I had one, but I am not sure how to just connect spotify over the wifi and ignore the bluetooth. Is this possible (the instructions and online details for this unit are not great). thanks

Go to wi-fi connections on your phone/tablet/laptop and one of the connections will be A2 Jongo. You connect your smart device to that wi-fi. Then play Spotify on your device and a choice of outputs comes up. Select the Jongo. What could be easier!!! (Well, peace in the Middle East is easier than setting up a Jongo. However we get a £100 device for £20 as a result of it being so difficult).

Well you were not joking about setting this thing up. It is a pain. When I eventually got it set up (or at least I think it's set up) it does not seem to do the spotify over wifi, just bluetooth. I will say the bluetooth receiver part of this does sound very good compared to my existing model.
