Like you I was searching the net for info and the only review was OBVIOUSLY flawed

http://earmass.com/2013/07/23/xduoo-ta-01-entry-level-tube-dacamp-combo/

It is a very high gain amp.

Drives the notoriously hard to drive AKG701/702

with EASE,LOADS of power and Oomph!

Also does TRUE 16/176.2khz Decoding with foobar

Very very good amp,IMHO

PS: the ONLY caveat, the software driver's instruction is a pain in the ass

ddtrr,

Thanks for your reply and sorry I missed it for a couple of weeks... As it happens, I've taken delivery of one of these last week... I've very happy with it. It is able to go all the way to 24@192 and since I have a few experimental tracks with differing levels of resolution, it is able to play everything without the need to resample or fiddle about.

I agree about the gain... It has lots. Personally, I had no trouble installing the drivers... not sure I know/care exactly what else it has installed... seems to have a control panel as well as the underlying driver, but that is not an issue.

I have come across a further review...

and more importantly, the chap has experimented with swapping the valve for a Mullard one. I plan to do a bit of research into different versions of the same model of valve and od something similar over Easter.

Cheers

Sean
